ABOUT COBIA Cobia inhabit the entire subtropical and tropical span of the Atlantic and can be found around buoys, navigational markers, reefs, and wrecks offshore or inshore. Cobia spend the winter months near the Florida Keys and start moving north toward Daytona Beach in late March. They can be found off Jacksonville’s coast by June. As summer nears, the fish start to approach inshore inlets. Cobia can be found year-round on the Gulf Coast.
